Welcome to Budding Floral Designs, a full service flower shop, creating floral gorgeousness for all occasions from the cradle to the grave based on a cosy corner in the village of Anstey, Leicester. With over 60 years combined experience, we are passionate and knowledgeable about our trade and feel proud and honoured to serve the community of Anstey and the surrounding villages for all of their floral requirements.
Our owner, Claire, has been creating beautiful flower arrangements for as long as she can remember, recalling coming home from primary school and sitting on the counter, helping make bows for bouquets. With a surname like Budding (yep - no kidding), it's in the blood! Her work has been featured in many local publications including Leicestershire Weddings magazine, Your East Midlands Wedding Magazine and The Beacon Magazine. We have also had our floral gorgeousness published on many wedding blogs, are recommended suppliers for several local venues and have worked hard to build a large loyal client base over the years. We are proud to offer all forms of floristry from just a simple bunch to cheer someone up, through to gift bouquets and bespoke funeral tributes, to weddings and events and everything inbetween.
Budding Floral Designs was born out of Claire's love of floristry that was encouraged by her parents who previously owned Brookside Nurseries, a Garden Centre and Florist, just down the road from us in Anstey, Leicestershire. In August 2016, after almost 40 years of dedication and hard work, they closed the doors in readiness to enjoy Retirement. Keen to keep the established flower side of Brookside Nurseries local within the village of Anstey, it was the ideal opportunity for Claire to merge the floristry side of their business with her own and move into a fresh new premises. As such, in April 2016, Budding Floral Designs moved out of a draughty workshop and into a bright and airy shop in The Nook, the village hub of Anstey.
We have now expanded to become a very busy little team with a number of ad-hoc bodies to help us out during our crazy times. Occasionally we have Claire's bearded collie, Luna acting as shop dog snoozing in the back room! We are a friendly bunch who love creating and feel blessed to be able to do something for a living that we enjoy. Why not pop in when you're passing and say hello!
