Beccy and Neil were married at the ‘oh-so’gorgeous’ Riding School in the grounds of Calke Abbey in Ticknall, Derbyshire on a glorious early May day in 2017. Beccy had some incredible ideas for her flowers but pretty much let me run riot…..which I love! She was married in a blush dress with a black overlay so wanted her wedding flowers to follow on in the blush/nude theme and keep them quite subtle in terms of colour but was keen to include a few alternative bits and pieces. We based the flowers around beautiful nude ‘Quicksand’ roses and ivory Astilbe but we went all out with texture and included pheasant feathers, twisted willow, thistles, lotus heads, poppy seed heads, silver Brunia berries, Scabious Stellata and added in brown Cotinus foliage to add a little floral drama. We finished off the bouquet with a hessian wrap with leather binding to keep things that little bit alternative. The theme carried throughout the rest of the flowers and I must say, this was an absolute pleasure to create!
